If you are wondering how to enable movie record on the Canon Rebel XSi or any camera with live view. The following is a written tutorial on how to do it.

Step One: Download the program EOS Camera Movie Record. If you’re on a mac, download 0.1.9 Beta 2 because it is that last update that supports macs. If you’re on a PC, download the latest version available.

Step Two: Plug your camera into your computer and turn it on. Make sure the setting is not on auto.
