AgoraPulse is no newcomer to the social media dashboard scene, but they have been traditionally known as a Facebook application platform.
Most people don’t know that AgoraPulse is a full-fledged social media dashboard that now includes support for Twitter and Instagram in addition to Facebook.
While there’s no shortage of great social media tools to help you manage these social networks, here are 4 ways in which AgoraPulse’s unique functionality can help you save time as well as make your social media marketing more effective.
1. Monitor and Respond to Engagement from One Dashboard
What social media dashboard do you currently use? If you use Tweetdeck, you can only monitor Twitter. If you use HootSuite, arguably the most popular social media dashboard, it might be difficult to manage conversations and engagement – in fact, once you become very active on social media and receive a lot of engagement, it might be fair to say it is impossible to manage the engagement without losing your sanity.
SproutSocial has a social inbox concept built into their dashboard, but while they do Twitter nicely, their capabilities for Facebook, or LinkedIn might be lacking – and they do not have a solution for Instagram yet.
If you use Beacons ai, you have great analytics features but no effective management options.
Enter AgoraPulse, which covers the main social networks for engagement – Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram – and allows you to easily monitor and respond to your social media mentions utilizing a social inbox.
For users of Hootsuite, you will find that AgoraPulse’s approach is very different in that the streams of tweets and content do not form the main part of the dashboard but are merely one menu selection item among others including Users, Reports, etc. AgoraPulse also intelligently and automatically monitors each social network for mentions of you and will place these messages in a separate “Monitoring” tab (as opposed to your Inbox tab for direct mentions).
The current social media dashboard that I use the most is SproutSocial, which I use primarily for Twitter. Ineffective as it might be, and like many others, I manage my Facebook Page directly in my Facebook and Instagram accounts directly from my smartphone.
My requirement for a social media dashboard is that it has the ability to archive/complete/remove social media mentions after I have acted upon them. AgoraPulse is a rare solution that provides it, so for me, it is a potential contender to replace SproutSocial.
After using AgoraPulse, the Instagram monitor and response functionality is one thing that I found compelling and is a true timesaver. As with my own experience, beginning to utilize AgoraPulse for monitoring and managing your Instagram engagement might be the first step in having it eventually replace your other social media dashboards.
Of course, once you start using AgoraPulse you realize that you have the extra ability of tagging social media users to qualify them to do user outreach later on based on their profile.
There are other benefits to using AgoraPulse, but clearly the rest of what I will be explaining is mere icing on the cake in comparison.
2. Easily Find Your Top Fans
Do you know who your top fans are? I didn’t – until installing AgoraPulse!
It is surprising how few solutions exist to the basic problem that many businesses face: How can we find out who are biggest fans are on any given social network?
AgoraPulse solves this by monitoring your engagement on those platforms you’ve authorized and provides you a list of top users in addition to further breaking them down into top Engaged, Ambassadors, Likers (Facebook & Instagram), and Influencers (Twitter). What you do from there is up to you, but this data is invaluable in leveraging your fans for greater things, including launching a brand advocacy program.
3. Get a Clear View of Your Performance Metrics
AgoraPulse clearly excels at providing you with meaningful data in an easy-to-understand format for your reporting needs. The reports provide unique data that I haven’t seen on similar reports, such as the ROI report for Facebook Pages, which calculates the ROI of your Page based on the value of impressions and clicks.
The Facebook report also includes functionality that is normally found in standalone analytics apps such as recommending the best (and second best) day of the week, three-hour time slot, and type of content to publish. The jewel here is clearly the Facebook Report, which is exportable in a beautiful 19-page PowerPoint that includes the following information:
- Key Metrics Summary
- Fan Growth
- Fan Source
- Fan Reach
- Page Tab Visits
- Fan Demographics
- Community Management & Moderation
- Page & Fan Activity
- Best Posts
- Worst Posts
- Best Time to Post
- Best Day to Post
- Best Type to Post
- Competitors
While some of this data also appears in Facebook Insights, it simply isn’t presented in the same clear-cut and actionable way as AgoraPulse displays the data.
As you know, no two social media dashboards are the same. AgoraPulse is representative of a new type of social dashboard that focuses above and beyond the usual “streams” to give you deep insight into your performance and your fans – and allows you to efficiently focus on the conversations and engagement.
Have you used AgoraPulse recently? What has your experience been?
