Browsers You've Never Heard Of: QupZilla

QupZilla iconThe chances are that you are reading this article in one of the five most popular web browsers: Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera or Internet Explorer. Whichever browser you're using, you've surely heard of the other four, if not tried them at least once in your surfing career.

Of course, “the big five” aren't the only browsers available – there are plenty more for different platforms, and it's great that there are, because it means that the users are given a wider choice.

Joining the ranks of lightweight web browsers like Midori, K-Meleon and Pale Moon is QupZilla – a simple, zippy browser with features that some major browsers don't even have by default.

JDownloader: A Heavyweight Download Manager

JDownloader logoJDownloader is a free (GPL-licensed), open source download manager. It's written in Java and therefore platform independent, which means you can use it on Windows, Linux or OS X. It's a heavyweight application that aims to be the one-stop solution to all your downloading problems. It's feature-packed, well-supported and extensible via addons. It's even multilingual. Brainstorming Tool: Scatterbrain

There is something incredible that happens when you have children. At first it is just a slight case of forgetfulness: you don't include milk on the shopping list, or you can't find your keys. But over time, this increases until you are forgetting why you walked into a room, or walk through an entire parking lot without realizing you passed your car twice.

Some people claim this has to do with age, but I disagree. I am still rather young, and I suffer from it worse than ever since child number two was born. It all seemed to begin with my first pregnancy, and get worse with my second. Now I am lucky if I can get through a day without a major faux pas or a whole lot of inconvenience.

Tiny Wings App Review

Tiny Wings is a great application and I believe it's well worth the $0.99 to purchase. The basic premise of this game is very simple, but yet, very addictive.

"You have always dreamed of flying - but your wings are tiny. Luckily the world is full of beatiful hills. Use the hills as jumps - slide down, flap your wings and fly! At least for a moment - until this annoying gravity brings you back down to earth. But the next hill is waiting for you already. Watch out for the night and fly as fast as you can. Otherwise flying will only be a dream once again."
