Feedly for Android

Earlier this week I walked you through the process of migrating to Feedly from Google Reader.

It’s a remarkably simple process to migrate. You could say it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. Install Feedly, click a button and grant permission for Feedly to access your Google Reader feeds and enjoy your reading. There’s nothing more to it.

While I’ve been making brilliant use of Feedly on my desktop I have to admit that I’ve still been using Google Reader on my tablet. Yesterday that changed and I made the jump to Feedly for Android.

Scareparty - Ghost Game for Android

Scare Party Review

The horror genre is a very popular one, especially now when some of the best horror games ever have been released over the past couple of years. But not a whole lot of them offer a multi-player feature and simple gameplay. For mobile phones, it is pretty much unheard of. At least, it was until Scare Party for Android.

How to Transfer Files over WiFi between Android and PC

When it comes to copying files to and from your Android phone or tablet the normal way is to use a USB cable from your computer to your phone. It works absolutely fine that way but there's a few reasons why you'd want to have an alternative to the cable method. One alternative is WiFi transfer.

The first reason is that you don't have access to a cable. It might have broke, got forgot or even lost - or if you're like me then you might just be too lazy to go upstairs to get it haha - but if you don't have one then there is absolutely no way for you to use a cable to transfer your files.

There could even be problems with using the cable, for me my cable is too short to use without a USB extension. Or your cable port might be broken. I use a Galaxy Tab 10.1 as my primary Android device but the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 came out last year if your looking to get a decent Android tablet.

How to Extend Your Android Battery Life

Extend Your Android Battery Life

Smartphones are just swell. Their features are helpful, entertaining and must-have's for most of us. We have become so reliant on our phones that it is rare to see us without it in hand, or at least nearby. I personally have to check myself to keep me from looking at my screen while out in public, a pet peeve of mine that I am just as guilty of as everyone else. But how can we help it when the technology is just so cool?

One thing that isn't cool about smartphones, however, is the battery life. They don't last very long, especially if you use them a lot. Many people have to charge them an hour a day to keep them functioning regularly, and that can get frustrating. We have already listed the generic tips on how to make your smartphone battery live longer. Here are some Android specific tips:

Flying Fun: My App Success Story

Have you ever considered making an app? Would you like to sell your app globally and make money from it 24/7? Did you know it's actually not that hard? I am now achieving success with my first app and I didn't have to write a single line of code.

Introducing: Flying Fun - a copter style endless flight game, with a twist! We expanded on the original helicopter flying game by adding powerups and coin collection to the game. Don't you hate it when you get real far in a game and then crash? With the use of our powerups, you can fly even further! And trust me, this game get addictive!

My brother and good friend began work on Flying Fun in Oct/Nov 2012. At the time we were all still third year students at university, studying full time and working part-time jobs. We're not programmers, so we outsourced development to Click Labs in Mumbai, India; the creators of successful apps such as Temple Run, Temple Run 2 and Agent Dash.

Since then, we have graduated university, we're working full time jobs and still managing the marketing of our first app and now the development of our second app. Are you starting to see a trend here? Developing apps doesn't require a full time commitement or massive budget. We just had the courage to give it a go.

I can't describe how cool it is to wake up in the morning, check your reports and see that your app has been downloaded thousands of times over night in countries all over the world.

We're now looking at getting Flying Fun ready for Android and we're launching our second app very soon.

I'd like to keep you updated on our progress and if you have any questions, please comment below. I've kept this post quite general so please feel free to ask about how we made the app etc.

I don't mean to promote to much, but please take a look at Flying Fun and let us know what you think. We'd love to hear your valuable feedback.
